Paragliding in himachal :-
Today the state of Himachal Pradesh is playing a lead role in the field of Paragliding Which become great attractions for tourists visiting the state.  Billing (kangra ),Manali (Kullu), Bandla (Bilaspur) are  famous places for high flying paragliding.

Bilaspur is only the place in INDIA where SIV Course can organized. It is laid down in the training manual that training in instability maneuvers during advance pilot course  i.e. Dynamic Stall, deep stall, spiral drive, spin reovery, assymmetric tuck, front tuck and deployment of Reserve Parachute, should be carried out over a broad base of water for reasons. For this, there is hardly any place, where there is any huge lake just beside the landing site. Bilaspur has the privilege of having unique combination of Air Sports in one stretch, which is very rare.

THE BASICS
o    No experience is required.
o    Paragliding requires very little in terms of physical ability but you will have to walk up a small hill in order to take off.
o    Maximum passenger weight is 100 kilograms.
o    Flights are dependent to weather conditions.
o    Professionally trained and certified pilots
WHAT WE PROVIDE:
o    A safety helmet
o    New, fully certified paragliding equipment: wing & harnesses
o    A knowledgeable and safety conscious pilot
DURATION OF FLIGHT
Paragliding Flight duration is from 10 minutes to 15 minutes. This is high flying site takeoff point is “Devi Dhar” 3100ft from

o    .you have not to jump. Paragliders are launched.  You and the pilot take a few running strides and are then lifted off of the ground as the glider begins to fly. The take off like Aeroplane
MINIMUM AGE
o    Let's say 8 years old, but it depends more on weight.  If the wind is light, We can take a 35 kilogram child, but if it's strong, it's not possible.
IS PARAGLIDING CONDUCTED ALL ROUND THE YEAR ?

o    Operate between Feb. to Jun., closed in July and Aug. and restart to Sep to Dec. but the best and most consistent weather is between March to Jun.

LOCATION

The paragliding site is not accessible by car or scooter but you will be rewarded with experiencing one of the prettiest beaches in Goa. From Arambol Beach, walk north on a path along the Cliffside past the rocks jutting out from the sea. Arambol is located 50 kilometers north of the capital of Goa, Panaji (or Panjim). Once at Arambol beach meeting point you will be greeted by Instructor who will take you to flying spot which is 15 minutes walking uphill.
